Exodus Residence is located in downtown Minneapolis. Eighty nine of its 95 single occupancy housing units are used for medical respite and health supported housing. Exodus serves adult men and women, giving priority to persons age 55 and older. The medical respite program focuses on serving individuals with acute or chronic medical issues.
This is a 20+ bed, shelter-based medical respite program targeting homeless persons currently in shelter or recently released from area hospitals who are recovering from acute medical problems or chronic disease. The program is based in a shelter facility that has on-site HCH clinic services (44 clinic hours/week).
Medical Respite at Higher Ground St. Paul provides a place of physical and emotional healing for hospitalized adults experiencing homelessness, who are too sick or injured to be on the streets or in shelter after hospital discharge. We are supported and funded by the three main hospitals in downtown St. Paul.
